This baking slab makes use of the thermal resistance of stone by giving back uniformly the energy it stores to the baked goods. Baked on the slab, bread or rolls develop a delightful crust, pizza and tartes flambées will come out of the oven crispy and sweet pastry will stay moist.
Before using: Before using it, rinse the slab thoroughly under running water, let it dry and heat it in a 250 °C oven that has not been preheated. After one hour shut off the oven and let the slab cool down with the oven door closed. Only for use in electric or gas ovens. Do not put the slab on a hot stove top or in the microwave.
