Smoothing brush boar bristle

A simple means of hair care is regular brushing with natural bristles. A trim of real pig bristles is best suited for this, because they are related to the hair and can therefore more easily absorb excess skin fat and transport it to the hair ends. This makes the hair shiny and ensures that the hair ends do not split so quickly. Since natural bristles hardly electrically charge the hair, irritation of the hair bellows muscle, which controls the sebaceous glands' release of oil, is avoided. At the same time, the hair is gently detangled and smoothed.
This narrow-cut hairbrush with its convex shaped trim of 2 cm long boar bristles picks up the skin's own grease near the scalp (sebum) and brings it to the dry hair ends. So that the sebum can be distributed better, the bristles are lined up at different heights. The brush body is made of beautifully grained, finely polished and oiled olive wood. The semicircular design of its handle ensures that when brushing out long hair, the momentum from the wrist can be used optimally.

For the brushes in our range, Fournival Altesse uses only natural materials: finely polished, oiled olive wood for the body and handle, and pure boar bristles for the trim, which is pulled in by hand.
