    Often it is the details that make the crucial difference between "secular" and monastic products. For example, in this flan, the Trappist nuns of Laval replace some of the starch that would otherwise be used (it is still present here in the form of cornstarch) with an alganextract. This is not only healthier, but also makes the cooked pudding particularly light and digestible. One bag is intended for half a liter of milk.
