The great thing is: An almost infinite number of variation possibilities open up for your child in constructive play with the wooden building blocks, which come in several handy sizes and can be plugged in according to the tried-and-tested principle - whatever your offspring builds from them, it holds together stably.

What's even better is that this building set system also includes a marble run that can be combined just as much as you like, according to your mood and imagination. It may - but does not have to - form the crowning glory of a structure and exert this cross-generational fascination as the marble makes its way from start to finish: over track stones of different lengths, through curves and tunnels, past little bells and even through a funnel.

And the icing on the cake: Each building element is crafted to fit precisely from solid, sturdy beech wood, offering your child the velvety warm feel of natural material and its robustness and durability. Right down to the actual marble run, each element is cleanly sanded so that all the building blocks fit together securely and the stainless steel balls can roll smoothly through their course.

In 2021, craftsmen and educators founded a start-up near Chemnitz, Saxony, that is dedicated to the development and sustainable production of educationally valuable wooden toys. The founders draw inspiration for their designs directly from life: from their own children. In order to provide their offspring with lasting playtime fun that can involve young and old, the parents designed a marble run that can be attached to building blocks without slipping and can also be expanded. The marble run building block system was born. It was soon followed by other ideas for toys made of local beech or maple wood, always designed to spread the joy of play to the grandchildren's generation.

Design and production take place in the small workshop of the Baumkinder, where traditional carpentry skills are combined with the achievements of digital technology. From the trunk to the finishing touches, the Baumkinder take care to ensure that production is as resource-friendly as possible, so that even sawdust can still find a use. The wood comes from sustainable forestry, green electricity supplies the energy for the production, which at the same time dispenses with paints, varnishes and composite materials. The packaging of the Baumkinder toys remains plastic-free, and last but not least, a small portion of the purchase price goes to reforestation projects.
