With a seat made of strong, air-permeable hemp fabric, the Mariposa is not only lighter (and significantly cheaper) than the leather version, but also less sensitive to weather conditions such as sun and moisture. Thus, it is quite suitable for use on the terrace or in the garden in the summer and can tolerate the one or other night outdoors - but you should not leave it out in the rain.

The seat is suspended in a frame of powder-coated steel rods, which is supplied disassembled into individual parts and can be easily assembled into a whole using the enclosed connectors made of die-cast aluminum. For this purpose, each delivery includes mounting screws and a corresponding tool in addition to the assembly instructions.

With the simplest means, this furniture offers the greatest possible relaxation. As if stretched out in space, the leather skin curves in all directions - you sit in it extremely comfortable, can lean back and - this is the crucial thing - will still not lose his posture.

From our point of view, this armchair, whose predecessor became famous as the "Butterfly Chair" (or bat chair) in the 1950s, is still one of the most successful seating furniture of its kind. The original was a simple armchair with a branched frame designed in the 1930s by Argentine architects Bonet Castellana, Kuchan and Hardoy-Ferrari. Our model is very close to this original type in shape and is named "Mariposa" - butterfly.
