It is therefore not surprising that France and India come together in their scarves and stoles, blankets and bags: The designs come from Parisian textile designer Adrien Testard, while they are traditionally made in India. After all, the original scarf (which we understand to be worn more like a stole) once found its way from the Indian subcontinent to Europe. And this scarf culture is still very much alive in India today: Yarn dyeing, weaving and printing techniques are passed down from generation to generation there - in three carefully differentiated professions, each of which possesses and guards its own unique know-how.
