A clothespin that, unlike its plastic colleagues, is beautiful enough to hold papers and notes together in the office, close bags and sacks in the kitchen, and can also be used in the garden for a variety of holding purposes. Even after years of tireless use on clotheslines and the like, the clothespin loses none of its resilience. This is due on the one hand to the fact that it is made from a single piece of high-quality, stainless spring steel (Aperam steel) and on the other hand to its special shape. Invented in 1968 by the Frenchman Louis Violet and initially manufactured by hand, the clamp has been produced in Vitrolles (north of Marseilles) since 1970 - now by machine on tools developed in-house. Any rust film, by the way, can simply be rubbed off.
