Wherever possible, we try to eliminate plastic from our range. This high bed insert is the best proof that we are increasingly succeeding in this, as it is made of coconut fleece (felted coconut fiber) and is therefore made from a renewable raw material. Et voilà: the perfect replacement for the usual inlay made of ribbon fabric, which we also used to offer for our balcony raised bed made of larch wood. Our coconut insert consists of two parts - one for the base of the raised bed box and one to cover the side walls - and its dimensions are tailored to the aforementioned balcony raised bed. However, there is certainly nothing to stop you from cutting both parts to fit and using them in another raised bed. In any case, the coconut insert provides additional protection (from the inside) against moisture and thus extends the life of the wood. Incidentally, coconut fiber has the advantage that it can store a lot of water and slowly release the moisture into its surroundings - the plants in your raised bed also benefit from this. Last but not least, you can even dispose of the inlay in the compost. The natural material lasts for several seasons.
