Actually, this is not one, but three blankets: first a light, thinner one filled with wild silk for summer, and a second blanket with warming camel fluffy hair for the transitional season. Both have a dense percale cover made of 100% organic cotton - and can be tied together to form a thick, warm winter quilt in the frosty cold season.
Silk is perceived as cooling due to its fiber structure, it can absorb and store a lot of moisture without feeling damp, and thus ensures a pleasant and balanced sleeping climate. The quilt made of wild silk is correspondingly light and airy. It also brings a special feature, because the silk used here is Ahimsa wild silk - it is obtained without animal suffering, because the silk moth butterflies are still allowed to hatch before their cocoons are collected. The threads are then somewhat shorter, which does not matter for blanket fillings anyway - the climate-regulating properties of silk are retained in any case.
The extremely fine camel fluff hair has an insulating effect due to its strong crimp, at the same time it can also absorb a lot of moisture and quickly dissipate it again. A blanket made of it has exceptionally good climate regulating properties, so it can be used well in summer for those who like it warmer.
The blankets are each worked with comfort quilting, so they adapt perfectly to your body and your movements. The combination blanket is manufactured in the Allgäu.
