Concrete fire cube
- Cast by hand from sturdy, solid concrete
- Large wick lasts for years
- Wax recycling: can be refilled with candle remnants
General Information
Wax recycling of the straightforward kind
The concrete fire cube is an atmospheric source of light in the garden and on the patio. The large combustion chamber and the exceptionally strong wick of the bowl ensure that the torch-like flame is highly resistant and blazes 10 to 15 centimetres high even in adverse weather conditions. The large combustion chamber of the concrete fire can be easily refilled with your own candle wax residue or the separately available refill wax - if this is done regularly so that the wick does not burn too far, it will prove to be a long-lasting, functional, continuous burner for years to come. The concrete fire also comes with a birch wood extinguishing lid, which proves useful in three ways: it smothers the flame safely and cleanly, protects the wick and wax from soiling when not in use and also cuts a handsome figure as a base.
Natural show value. Concrete objects from Beske
Concrete as a building material has long since made its way from exterior architecture into interior design and even into the visual arts - even if there are still certain reservations about the material: It is said to be massive, clunky, more of a block on the leg than a decorative or even artistic object. Complete misconceptions, as the designs cast in concrete by the young Cologne-based Beske manufactory demonstrate. The Beske brothers prefer to work with wood, steel - and concrete, which they cast by hand in painstaking detail. As a building and construction material, concrete is unique anyway: on the one hand, the machine-produced stone is easy to process, extremely stable and so robust that it can last for generations. But above all, and this is particularly important to the Cologne-based manufacturer, concrete consists of the natural raw materials water, sand and gravel with the addition of cement as a binding agent, which means that transportation distances can be kept short. And last but not least, the versatile material is perfect for the manufactory's purist designs, whose clear geometric shapes fit into any room and create striking accents.
