Wood is exposed to particular stresses in the kitchen. Knife handles, salad servers and wooden spoons as well as boards and worktops therefore need regular care. However, this care should be both protective and food-safe - requirements that our wood balm easily meets, as it consists of cold-pressed oil from oilseeds such as linseed, mustard and sunflower seed, which is incorporated into beeswax. And without any other additives, which is why the balm even has food quality. It is also produced under the same guidelines that apply to food. You can therefore use the care balm on all wooden parts and kitchen boards with a clear conscience and as often as you like. Thanks to its paste-like consistency, this can be done quickly and easily. The low-viscosity natural oils in the chopping board balm penetrate deep into the pores of the wood, taking beeswax with them to close the pores so that liquids can no longer penetrate. The balm also restores the velvety sheen to the wooden surfaces.

It is best to treat the wooden surfaces in the evening. They must be clean and dry. Apply the wood balm sparingly and rub in with a cloth or kitchen towel. Leave to dry overnight and polish with a paper towel the next morning. You can smooth the surface with a scraper beforehand. We recommend repeating the application every 14 days or simply as required.
