Purist indulgence: dark and tart and spicy
Technically speaking, this is a "70%" chocolate. However, it actually tastes a little "darker", which is due to the fact that the remaining 30 percent is not pure sugar, as is usually the case, but finely ground dates. The result is as pure as it is delicious: crunchy to the bite, melt-in-the-mouth and beautifully tart. No wonder this vegan chocolate is not only a delicious treat, but also an excellent baking ingredient.

Djoon (pronounced "Dschuun") is a young food start-up that focuses on delicious sweets in which dates play a key role. It all began in 2021, when founders Carolin and Martin Grellner and Leon Niederl got started and produced their first date pralines. Spreads, chocolates and gingerbread were soon added, and the next big step followed at the beginning of 2023: the establishment of the company's own praline factory in Munich. It opened up new opportunities for the team, more innovations and, as a result, more varieties and even higher quality.
