In the past, enameled buckets were traditionally used for ash from the stove or fireplace. The ashes could burn out safely in the fireproof buckets with their tight-fitting lids. Perhaps they were also used back then as waste garbage cans or for kitchen and garden waste, as compost or diaper bins. The enamel bucket is made of deep-drawn sheet steel, which is enameled black - the bucket is therefore also food-safe. It is easy to transport thanks to the wooden handle.
