The awakening of nature in spring, its blossoming in summer, its colorful harvest in autumn and the promise of a new beginning in winter: In glass art à la Tiffany, these flower plugs with their naturalistic motifs herald the multicolored life of nature throughout the year. And if you give the creations additional (sun)light, their colors will shine all the more impressively - whether as a complementary decoration to your potted plant, anchored in your felt flower bouquet or as a stand-alone eye-catcher in its own vase.

To create these small works of art, the artisan technique that goes back to the Art Nouveau glass artist Louis Comfort Tiffany is meticulously crafted by hand. Piece by piece, stained glass is pre-scored using templates and each element is broken out along the cutting lines. After the edges have been carefully sanded to ensure a precise fit, the artisans encase each piece of glass in copper foil and solder it to the other elements of the motif, which they then finish with a black or copper-colored patina, depending on the design, and paint in selected details. Attached to the metal rod, its leaf and flower decorations give the motif additional depth and character.

Such a handcrafted work of art is beautiful to look at - and, like any glass, fragile. Therefore, place the flower plug with due care next to your potted plant or place it as a solitaire in a place where neither toddlers nor cats can succumb to the fascination of the bright motifs.
