This brass fitting is the more robust and weatherproof alternative to the normal hose coupling systems made of plastic. It is compatible with its plastic relatives though and is suitable for ½-inch garden hoses.

The hose connection is suitable for the conventional ½-inch garden hose (with a maximum outer diameter of 18.7 mm and hose wall thickness of 3 mm). For a simple, tight fit without the need for extra tools, they are fixed on the hose by means of a union nut and a plastic clamp seal. They can be used together with any existing plastic connectors.
The hose connections are available with or without a water stop. You need two hose connections per hose: One (without water stop) on the tap side and one (with or without water stop) on the accessory side. The water stop is recommended if you have spray lances, spray guns or spray nozzles without their own stop valves. With it, you can stop the flow of water at the site of the hose connection (and do not have to go back to the tap to turn it off).
