Japanese avocado slicer

Japanese avocado slicer
- New thinking: avocado enjoyment in three easy steps
- Japanese-inspired: minimalist and timeless design
- Easy to clean and durable: made of stainless steel
General Information
Japanese design. High precision and practicality
This Japanese avocado slicer combines three functions in one: when halving the fruit, the sharpened stainless steel blade cuts through the avocado effortlessly, leaving nothing but a smooth cut surface. Once cut, the pit is often still stuck in one half of the fruit - and often so firmly that it is difficult to remove. Have you ever slipped your kitchen knife on the smooth surface? This is where you set a hook! And using leverage, coring is child's play. Now separate the peel from the flesh. The wide, slightly curved spoon shape is ideal for this: the flesh can simply be "scooped" out of the skin. Incidentally, the avocado slicer can also be used for peeling citrus fruits. Simply place the hook on the peel of the orange and co. and guide the blade all the way around the fruit. Then slide the curved tool under the peel like a tablespoon and carefully remove it from the flesh. Now just peel off the peel and remove the last remnants of the white skin - and the peeled citrus fruit is ready to be filleted.
Inspired by fusion cuisine. Perfectly shaped functionality
In Japan, the pursuit of perfection is deeply rooted. The term "Monozukuri“ - making things - stands for the art of manufacturing products with the utmost care, passion and the demand for maximum functionality. With this attitude, Japanese designers regularly turn to the task of finding "Japanese solutions" for new trends - be it in home design or in the kitchen. As far as Japanese cuisine is concerned, the use of avocado has its origins in the fusion kitchen trend of the 1960s and 1970s. It was during this time that the California roll triumphed in the USA, with the avocado in the leading role. Because the melt-in-the-mouth flesh harmonizes perfectly with soy sauce, wasabi and sesame seeds, the avocado quickly became a popular ingredient in many types of maki, is served with sashimi or enriches the hearty topping over a bowl of steaming rice - and today it is impossible to imagine Japanese (fusion) cuisine without it.
This avocado slicer therefore comes from Japan, from the traditional metalware manufacturer Yoshikawa, and combines the typical qualities of Japanese product design: clear lines and well thought-out functionality. Thanks to its compact shape and ergonomic design, it sits comfortably in the hand and is intuitive to use. Made of stainless steel, it is durable and dishwasher-safe. The matt surface not only harmonizes with its minimalist look, but also contributes to a pleasant feel. A kitchen helper that impresses with Japanese precision and suitability for everyday use.
