Small secateurs

If you could fall in love with a pair of secateurs, this would be the one for me. Even though I don't have a garden! Nevertheless, I wouldn't want to be without this little thing. I can't even remember when and why I got the shears. Perhaps because it is one of our best-selling products or because many colleagues (with gardens or balconies) praise the shears to the skies. "There must be something to it," I may have thought to myself, and that it couldn't hurt to have something like this around the house. At some point, the little pair of scissors ended up in my kitchen drawer next to all the big, serious knives in my equally big and serious collection. In their immediate vicinity, the garden shears, at just 15 centimetres long, are actually more reminiscent of a child's tool. But it is precisely this handy format that makes them so practical. Not only does it fit in the short compartments of the kitchen drawer, but also in the glove compartment of the car - where it accompanies our product manager for the garden range on every journey, in case she wants to cut a few branches or flowers on the way. Which brings us back to my kitchen, because I actually only use the secateurs to cut and trim bouquets of flowers. I've been treating myself to the luxury of fresh flowers ever since I could afford to buy a small bouquet every week. So the little secateurs have enough to do for me, even without a garden, lush balcony planting and herb bed. They are light and comfortable in my hand. The ratchet can be released with one hand - I particularly like that: a flick of the wrist, grip downwards, the eye is released and the shears are ready for use. Forged, not punched They do their job perfectly - and it's really fun to cut the stems and branches! So, in addition to the joy of a fresh bouquet, there is always the small pleasure of cutting. And this can even be repeated by trimming in between, which the flowers in turn reward with longer blooms. If that's not a win-win! Even thicker fir branches for the Advent wreath are no problem for the small shears. The fact that this is easy to do with the small garden shears is due to their manufacture: genuine forging work - not exactly a matter of course for such small tools. Another luxury, so to speak, but one that pays off. The scissor blades are made of carbon steel and are therefore particularly hard-wearing. Carbon steel can be hardened to a higher degree than stainless steel, which means that the blades can be sharpened to a very sharp edge and remain sharp for longer. So far, so good. I have now used the scissors for countless bunches of flowers and can therefore speak from experience. The rest is also in impeccable condition - without any further action on my part, I just make sure that it doesn't go into the drawer with a wet blade so that it doesn't rust trend towards second pair of secateurs As I like to share my enthusiasm, I not only like to tell people about really good things, I also have to give them away. The small garden shears are at the top of my list of favorites so far and have often found their way to friends. A mildly amused "Oh, how sweet" from those who have a veritable garden and are of course used to completely different calibers has always been followed by pure enthusiasm. In the meantime, I've even been asked a few times to bring a second pair of scissors, for the surgery or the office, for the garden or as a gift. So if you are still looking for a nice little gift, the small garden shears are definitely the right choice. And if you are unsure, simply give a flower subscription as a gift ...
