In the search for unusual textiles, it often happens that we enter into close dialogue with designers and manufacturers. This often results in a joint project, sometimes smaller, sometimes more extensive. Here the result is a soft merino wool blanket, which you can get in this design only at Manufactum.
Passion for textiles and patterns. Almira Sadar
The passion for color and pattern Almira Sadar made a profession a few years ago, in her studio in Ljubljana she designs clothing and home textiles since 2013. Inspired by Slovenian culture and using traditional techniques, she creates individual pieces that neither follow seasonal trends nor are bound to the past, but carry their own modern signature.
Fine merino wool. Knitted Geometry
Knitted blankets are warmer than woven blankets of the same basis weight because they are more voluminous and therefore can trap more heat-insulating air. They snuggle better, especially when the material is as fine and soft as the merino wool used here. Almira Sadar has them knitted in jacquard technique, thus both sides show the same geometric pattern - in opposite colors. The two narrow side edges finish with a black and gray stripe. The blanket is made in a family-run business in Ljubljana, in this colorway you get it only with us.
