The experienced basket weavers at Korbo in Sweden need one roll of steel wire per workpiece to make a balcony box of this size. They use the same tools as everyone who has done this work before them. The craft production technique is also the same as it was in the 1920s when the company began its work. Originally, Korbo's reliably sturdy wire baskets were intended for fishing, agriculture and gardening. Today, there are also models for the home and garden.

Our planting basket for the balcony is slightly deeper than the usual balcony boxes. This is an advantage for your plants, as they have more space available - the roots in particular can develop more freely and therefore more healthily. To achieve the most natural planting pattern possible, you can arrange your balcony flowers, herb plants etc. in a staggered arrangement. The basket is lined with a custom-fit geotextile insert (which you can replace with a piece of coconut fiber material or jute if required) to ensure that the potting soil holds. The enclosed suspension hooks are intended for attachment to round railings. You can just as easily place your basket on the floor or perhaps on a step or wall ledge. Plastic glides are included to protect the surface. By the way: Only galvanized steel wire is used for production. This protects the baskets from corrosion caused by the weather for a long time.
