It's not just the timeless, straightforward design with a classic lapel collar that makes this coat so appealing, but also the coat fabric, which has a distinctive woven structure with a clearly visible diagonal twill ridge. Another special feature is the material combination of certified organic cotton, virgin wool and alpaca hair. This gives the coat excellent wearing properties: it is breathable, warm, temperature-regulating and particularly soft to the touch. The pure viscose lining is pleasantly smooth and supple against the skin and makes it easy to put on and take off. The coat features two slanted slit pockets and slit cuffs. Striking horn buttons round off the design.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
