Lanius makes this casual sweatshirt largely from skin-friendly, certified organic cotton, supplemented by a proportion of recycled polyester for greater durability and shape retention. The fabric is slightly roughened on the inside, giving it an incredibly soft feel. The embroidery elements on the front, which run in curved lines, are a beautiful visual detail. The very wide, slightly cropped fit with dropped shoulders ensures an extremely comfortable fit. Elasticated cuffs at the neck, sleeves and torso round off the design harmoniously.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
