The cut and material of these trousers are impressive. Lanius makes them from a fine yet durable poplin made from skin-friendly, organically grown cotton. The lightweight fabric is pleasantly smooth against the skin and has a subtle sheen. The trousers have a comfortable fit with a wide, straight leg in a 7/8 length. The elasticated waistband with drawstring ties makes them even more comfortable to wear and easy to put on and take off. Forward-facing side seams and topstitched dividing seams at the back visually slim the silhouette. Two pockets concealed in the side seam can hold small items for everyday use.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
