These jeans are flared, which means that they are close-fitting at the hips and thighs, but flare out from the middle of the thigh - a shape reminiscent of the fashion of the 1960s and 1970s. Lanius manufactures the trousers from a denim with a washed-out look made from certified organic cotton, elastomultiester and elastane, which makes them both comfortable to wear and dimensionally stable. The jeans fasten with a zipper and button. Two side pockets and two patch back pockets can hold small items for everyday use.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
