Les Racines du Ciel uses linen and certified organic cotton for this light and airy knitted shirt. This summery combination of materials gives the fine, slightly transparent knitwear skin-friendly and breathable properties and a pleasantly grainy feel. The cropped, figure-skimming fit increases comfort and creates a relaxed silhouette. The shirt has rolled hems at the V-neckline and sleeves and a rib-knit cuff at the hem. On the western tip of the Breton peninsula lies the department of Finistère. According to the Roman name, this is the end of the earth. Nathalie Goyette and Christian Tournafol founded the Quimper-based brand. The two have been producing elegant, feminine and timeless women’s fashion since 2005. Besides aiming at high-quality standards, Les Racines du Ciel’s declared entrepreneurial goal is to promote artisanal traditions and products and thus preserve jobs in impoverished rural areas. They choose their production locations correspondingly.
