Ladies linen slip-on blouse

This casual slip-on blouse is inspired by the classic vareuse, the traditional fisherman's shirt. Although it has short sleeves, it has a classic design with an insert, a buttoned slit and a fold-down collar. The button, which closes the slit at the neckline together with a loop, is made of bamboo. The fabric is a perfect match: linen has a smooth, firm feel, it has a cooling effect when worn and is breathable. Armor lux We used a washed linen for this slip blouse, which adds the right "used look" to the casual cut.

Tellingly, “armor” is the Breton word for sea, and “lux” cannot mean anything else than the magic light at Brittany’s coast. In keeping with their brand’s name, Armor lux design many of their jumpers and shirts, dresses, trousers, hats, caps and scarves in a maritime style. The company, based in Quimper and founded by a Swiss at the end of the 1930s, combines simple, comfortable cuts, classic colours and uncompromising quality of materials and craft. The main production facility is still the company’s headquarter in France while, to a small extent, branches in Madagascar and Tunisia support the production.
