The Marlene is a classic that has become an integral part of the fashion world and has been reinterpreted time and again over the years. What all styles have in common is the comfortable cut with a straight, wide leg, which creates a flowing silhouette that flatters every figure. Lanius makes these Marlene trousers from skin-friendly, organically grown cotton. The fabric is woven in a twill weave, making it durable and giving it a pleasantly firm feel. Woven-in pinstripes visually elongate the legs. The trousers have two side pockets and a blind back pocket and are fastened with a button and zipper. The elasticated waistband at the back makes them even more comfortable to wear and ensures a good fit.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
