When choosing materials, Lanius focuses on functionality on the one hand and the conservation of important resources on the other. The outer fabric is made from recycled polyamide. Recycled polyester is used for the soft and fluffy teddy lining. The filling is made from polyester. This makes the gloves not only extremely warm, but also very light, windproof and water-repellent. Tight-fitting rib-knit cuffs provide a snug fit around the wrist. And thanks to the connecting strap, the mittens won't get lost easily. If you wear the gloves with the light green side facing outwards, they protect you from cold, wet winter weather and create a minimalist look. On freezing cold but dry days, you can simply turn the cream-colored plush fur inside out - for a cozy, casual style.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
