Alpaca hair is one of the most valuable natural fibers: warming and light, kind to the skin and extremely supple. Knitted fabrics made from it are comfortable to wear even for people who are sensitive to wool. What's more, alpaca hair contains hardly any lanolin, which is why it is considered particularly allergy-friendly. Lanius combines the fiber with a small amount of polyamide in this left-knit sweater to ensure that it retains its shape and lasts a long time. The fit is oversized and therefore comfortable. The wide vertical stripes, which are continued on the sleeves, give the sweater a striking look. It has a V-neckline and long rib-knit cuffs on the sleeves.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
