In the transitional period, one thing is particularly important when it comes to clothing: layering. With this 2in1 trench coat, you can indulge in this to your heart's content, depending on the weather. Ecoalf manufactures the water- and wind-repellent coat from durable recycled polyester and skin-friendly cotton. It has a light Used look and is peached, giving it a velvety-soft feel. The trench coat fastens with press studs and has inset flap pockets and two slit pockets. The fit is casual and therefore offers plenty of freedom of movement, which is also helped by the long back slit. The sleeve openings can be buttoned in two widths. The outer fabric, lining and filling of the long, diagonal check quilted vest are made entirely from recycled polyester, making it pleasantly light yet very warm. It has two side pockets and a spacious hood and is fastened with a two-way zipper. All in all: one or rather two highly functional, stylish garments that are a versatile addition to your wardrobe.

The Spaniard Javier Goyeneche has found a personal way to counter the waste of raw materials in our throwaway society – with creative ideas. In 2012, his label started producing fashion from recycled fibres. Then he initiated the revolutionary Ecoalf Ocean Project: More than 3,000 fishermen along the Spanish coast enlisted to help recover plastic waste from the sea. Goyeneche has the residues transformed into high-quality yarns for clothes, shoes and accessories. A similar project started in Thailand in 2017. Recycling all-natural textile fibres, namely cotton and wool, is another objective on Ecoalfs to-do list. Finally, the label mastered the challenge of finding new uses for old car tyres.
