For the spindle (with threaded cut on the outside), an almost unbreakable special steel was forged; the support (also called square hook) was cast from a stainless steel alloy, happily changing the geometry so that the leverage does not start brute, but on the contrary can be finely dosed. The reinforced jaw for the capsule cut is made of stainless steel and also houses a capsule lifter. Blade and jaws are made of polished stainless steel. The black buffalo horn handles come from the so-called "partie pleine", the solid horn tip.
