Mayser produces this cap in the shape of the classic slider cap, whose fabric is anything but ordinary. It starts with the wool, which comes from sheep in the Swabian Alb. Multicolored yarns with a beautiful melange effect are spun from it in the worsted spinning mill in Zwickau. These are then processed into fabrics at the Zuleeg weaving mill in Upper Franconia, which are finally finished at Knopf's Sohn - also based in Upper Franconia and an industry leader in Europe. However, it is not only the fabric that is impressive, but also the workmanship. Mayser traditionally pays attention to a good fit. This is achieved not least by shaping darts at the back of the head.

When Leonhard Mayser opened his "Hutmacherey" in Ulm in 1800, he could hardly have imagined that Mayser hats would one day become a global brand, with an annual production of 3.5 million pieces in 1963, a record year (unsurpassed to date). Today, the production figures are far lower, but Mayser can still call itself a global brand with sales markets in 44 countries. The secret to the success of the company based in Lindenberg in the Allgäu, the former "Little Paris" of hat fashion, has remained the same for more than two centuries: Quality. While design, purchasing and sales are still based in the Allgäu, production was relocated to Slovakia in 2002. Mayser built its own factory there and also trains its own staff.
