Refreshing and sparkling - sometimes it just has to be sparkling wine. Whether champagne or sparkling wine, cava, prosecco or crémant, for many people a bubbly drop in a glass is simply a must for festive occasions, celebrations with friends or loved ones. Especially in large groups, several bottles are quickly opened so that all guests can toast quickly - and in the end, an open bottle with plenty of content is often left behind. What to do now? Some people resort to the famous "spoon trick", only to discover the next day that the aroma and carbon dioxide have escaped. However, with the right closure, opened bottles of sparkling wine can be reliably and securely resealed. Our model comes - how could it be otherwise - from a country rich in sparkling wine tradition. It is made entirely in France, in Thiers to be precise, in a company that specializes in fine forged items such as cutlery, corkscrews, champagne sabres and waiter's knives. The manufacturer, known for its quality craftsmanship, named the stopper after Napoleon Bonaparte, who once said: « Je ne peux vivre sans champagne … » ("I cannot live without champagne ..."). The shape is also inspired by Napoleon: The object, made of stainless steel, is reminiscent of the "bicorne hat" with its round headpiece and two open temples. The narrow hat replaced the tricorn as the officers' headgear. When Napoleon put the bicorne hat on his head without further ado, it became his trademark. Our cap, which originated in France, is simply placed on the bottle opening, pressed on and secured with the two clips. Its construction is designed to withstand the pressure in the bottle and reliably retain the carbon dioxide. Stored in the fridge, the sparkling wine will remain fresh and sparkling for several days after the first opening.
