The monks of the French abbey of Tournay, situated at the northern foot of the Pyrenees, have been making fruit cubes for many years, as have several other French abbeys. As suppliers of these delicacies, they are taking over from our long-standing partner nuns at Echourgnac Abbey, who are now giving up this craft for reasons of age. The monks are in no way inferior to the nuns when it comes to their confectionery skills.
