These cashews come from Burkina Faso. They come from a small-scale fair trade cooperative that cultivates small plots of mixed cashew and mango trees. The cashews harvested there are processed close to the cooperative. The cashews not only taste good on their own, they can also be used in a variety of ways. As they can be easily processed into milk, yoghurt, cream cheese, cheese, dessert creams and raw cakes, they play an important role in vegan cuisine.

Inspired by the tea campaign, friends, brothers and cousins Amos and Tobias Bucher and Julian Bletscher decided to set up their own company in Freiburg in 2014. Instead of the stimulating drink, however, they specialize in high-quality nuts, seeds and dried fruit. In 2015, they launched the first cashews on the market. This was soon followed by organic and fair trade certification and, in 2018, their own roastery. The raw materials come from almost all parts of the world, but always from fair and responsible cooperatives, some of which are pioneers in their respective regions.
