The Motzenbäcker wine and sparkling wine estate is located in Deidesheim on the Wine Route in the Palatinate. Marie Menger-Krug continues the long family tradition of the renowned Menger-Krug winery under her own brand and adds new aspects to it. Three generations currently live and work on the estate. Each family member provides inspiration and ideas for the wines, all of the grapes come from the vineyards belonging to the estate, and cultivation and ageing - the latter in the estate's own cellar - are consistently organic. Cellar master Marie Menger-Krug is primarily responsible for the magnificent sparkling wines. They are all bottle-fermented, with some of them being produced using the méthode rurale, the most original form, in which the production process from grapes to sparkling wine takes place in just one fermentation. This creates an exciting mousseaux and unique natural aromas. Some of the wines and sparkling wines are also carefully matured in wooden barrels.
