Piedmont hazelnuts rightly enjoy a worldwide reputation for their delicious taste. Here they come as a crunchy, hearty snack. To make them, the fully ripe nuts are carefully cracked and then gently roasted, whereby 1) they lose almost all of their brown, bitter skins and 2) the delicate aroma of the raw hazelnuts is intensified and complemented by harmonious roasted aromas. The taste is rounded off by a layer of the finest salt, with which the nuts are powdered. The salted Piedmont hazelnuts are crunchy to the bite and highly aromatic. They are delicious on their own, as an aperitif and can also be used in the kitchen.
