Initially almost stiff and hard, the leather, which is up to 2.5 millimetres thick, will gradually adapt to your wearing habits and take on that unmistakable patina that gives the surface its eloquent glow. Focusing on clear lines, the leather has an open-edged finish and the inside of the shoulder bag is unlined, allowing the supple suede side to come into its own. The undivided interior can hold documents up to A4 size, and you can also store a tablet, e-book reader and an exciting book. Sunglasses and cosmetics, wallet and cell phone, keys and USB stick: two edged, leather pockets keep small items ready for quick access. The topstitching and brass-colored rivets used to attach the slip pockets to the inside back wall are also visible on the outside back and are evidence of the shoulder bag's careful, durable workmanship. It is closed with a riveted loop and flap with a solid ball stud, while the length of the shoulder strap can be adjusted using a classic buckle.

Founder Rolf Ihmels is behind the Osnabrück-based brand. He has been in the industry for a long time and has his current profession in his genes, so to speak - belts were already being made in his parents' company, which was still operating conventionally. In 2005, Ihmels set up his own brand. His commitment to manufacturing in a way that conserves resources as much as possible is already reflected in the location. The factory is not a new building, but a former joinery for solid wood furniture and obtains its electricity from renewable energy sources. Only vegetable-tanned full-grain cowhide from European tanneries that guarantee all relevant environmental standards is processed into belts and bags right next to the offices. These are solid, honest leathers that do not need to be lined or padded - you can feel, see and smell it in the finished product. And they are leathers that can return to the natural material cycle after use. Ihmels takes the approach that every piece of leather he processes was once the skin of a living being and should be respected and honored accordingly. Please note that the bag is unlined, so the velour on the inside may initially give off fluff or rub off, as with other leathers. The dark colour on the outside may rub off on light coloured clothing.
