Anyone who has seen a well-known boxing movie or two will know that the skipping rope is a simple but very effective training tool. But at the latest when you try jumping rope yourself, you realize (again) how challenging the supposedly child's play jumping is. This is why skipping ropes are not only used in boxing to train coordination and endurance, but also in many other sports. This is because not only the legs, but also the upper body, shoulders and arms are put through their paces. The demands on a skipping rope itself are also high, which is why we source it from a rope manufacturer that knows its way around. In contrast to the children's ropes from the same manufacturer, this one comes in a length of three meters and is therefore ideal for adults. The balling in the middle ensures even swinging, so that double and cross swings are also possible.

The durable skipping rope is made in the workshop of Bernhard Muffler, a family business founded in 1879. Made from high-quality long-fiber hemp and twisted extremely round, it is particularly robust. The thickened rope center gives the rope optimum swing characteristics - at the same time it proves that every skipping rope is traditionally processed, i.e. specially twisted and not cut from yard goods. Finally, the soaked rope is intensively polished with a horsehair brush to achieve a largely closed surface. Solid overhand knots secure the two ends of the skipping rope - we have deliberately dispensed with handles here. This is because hemp already has an excellent grip by nature, and the rope can be gripped at any point and can be adjusted to individual body size without hindrance.

As the skipping rope is twisted from natural fibers, it becomes softer and leaner over time, which also benefits its swinging characteristics. A tip: Be careful not to leave the rope in damp or rainy conditions. Due to their nature, the hemp fibers would contract and the rope would stiffen accordingly and therefore no longer swing optimally. We therefore recommend storing it in a dry place - if it does get wet despite all precautions, please allow it to dry out well indoors before using it again.
