Precisely balanced and well thought-out in its dimensions: a rake that combines the accuracy and sensitivity of a hand tool with the long reach only possible with long-handled tools. The comparatively small but perfectly shaped tool head with its forged stainless steel tines is so light that the rake can be positioned and moved almost effortlessly and with great precision. This is invaluable in densely planted beds - especially in vegetable beds, where delicate greenery should be handled with care to protect plants and fruit. The rounded knob at the top of the ash handle is a beautiful detail.

For over 100 years, the family of West Frisian blacksmith Jaap Sneeboer has been supplying their Dutch fellow citizens, who are known to be constantly busy with farming, dyke construction and horticulture, with the tools they need. Sneeboer uses two different stainless steels for his traditional Frisian horticultural tools in stainless steel: a higher-alloyed, tougher one for the springs and spouts of the handle holder and a lower-alloyed, more forgeable one for the actual functional parts. The individual structural elements are welded together and then ground and polished. All operations are carried out by hand.
