Made from strong yet supple cowhide, this case gently and protectively stores sunglasses, reading glasses, work glasses ... Admittedly, it may be too small for ski goggles, but you will be able to store and transport glasses of a normal size in it. The strikingly simple design skilfully follows the function: the glasses case is made from a single piece of leather, the narrow flap closes with a sturdy press stud. The light-colored, carefully placed topstitching along the open-edged edges not only ensures the shape of the glasses case, but also creates a striking visual contrast to the dark leather.

Jean Dessel's trademark is the strong, vegetable-tanned leather, which is dyed by hand in the company's own workshop without concealing the natural grain. Every belt, every bag, every accessory is made by hand using traditional methods - individual, full of character and long-lasting. Just as typical for Jean Dessel: solid brass fittings provide a sophisticated contrast to the soft glow of the leather.

French inspiration, Italian craftsmanship and a passion for leather characterize the Jean Dessel brand. Its history began in the 1960s, when Orlando Italia discovered his enthusiasm for the natural material leather during a trip to the Camargue in the south of France and found his calling in the craft of saddlery. He was taught the art of leather processing by experienced master saddlers and finally founded the Atelier Jean Dessel in his Italian hometown of Bergamo in 1969 - a shortening of the nickname given to him by a master saddler friend: Gioanì delle selle, which roughly translates as "John of the saddles".

The quality craftsmanship and unmistakable style of the handmade creations established the reputation of the brand, which established itself throughout Europe from the atelier on the southern edge of the Italian Alps and cooperated just as successfully with other renowned brands. After Orlando retired from active business at the end of the 1990s, the company was initially dormant until his son Filippo decided 15 years later to continue the family tradition: deeply rooted in traditional craftsmanship, reinterpreted with timeless elegance.
