The French weaving mill Tissage de Luz proves that stripes can be surprisingly elegant - and that the stripes themselves can be a surprise. The colorful stripes are different for every cushion cover. The reason is surprisingly simple: the covers are based on a length of fabric in which the stripes and colors are very different across the entire width. The covers are made up from this. Depending on which side of the fabric is used, the stripes are sometimes narrower, sometimes wider. The color combinations range from turquoise-blue-green, red-orange-pink and everything in between. We can't predict which color the cushion cover you order will arrive in, so it will be a real surprise.

Before the first use

Cotton from controlled organic cultivation is used for the colorful canvas fabric. It is made up directly after weaving and does not receive any finishing, so it shrinks by up to 10% lengthways during the first wash, which is already taken into account in the cut. To protect the fabric and colors, the manufacturer recommends soaking the pillowcase in cold water for 24 hours before first use or washing it in the machine on a cold wool cycle without detergent and then at 30 °C with little detergent. The cover can generally be washed at 60°C and can therefore also be used as a chair cushion on the balcony or patio. It measures 39 × 39 centimetres (after the first wash) - you only need to fill it with a flat cushion filling for this purpose.
