So close to the finish line - and then overtaken, blocked or even thrown out of the game? Don't worry about it. Since the beginning of time, triumph and disappointment, compassion and schadenfreude, hilarity and frustration, beating and being beaten have been the essential moments of a game in which luck and tactics compete for victory and the whole range of human emotions is revealed in rapid succession.

The tactical game Baubylon takes the ups and downs of emotions literally and adds a third dimension to the age-old call for more composure. Before the frustration tolerance of all players is tested, the playing field is built from the basic building blocks: a freely configurable course with different heights and a target summit. Protruding, flat bricks mark the starting fields; the higher the bricks are built, the more difficult the game becomes. Once the course has been defined, red blockade stones are distributed across the playing field. At the start of the game, each player must first roll at least a three to be able to overcome the height of the flat starting block with a block (= 2) and move one step forward (= 1) onto the block. On the way to the top, opposing pieces can be blocked with your own piece, the red pieces can be moved and placed in the way of other players as new obstacles, other players can be thrown out of the game *zack! ... The back and forth, ups and downs of the game are a well-known stress test - and pure fun for the whole family.

Breathe in, breathe out, carry on: The players practise composure as they train their emotional tolerance threshold, the game material demonstrates composure by withstanding even strong emotional fluctuations. The Gerhards manufactory takes its usual care in this game and makes the game elements from solid beech wood, which is as strong and tough as many a player would wish their own nerves to be.
