Virgin wool blanket herringbone

The basically understated herringbone pattern is given a striking makeover here, as Tweedmill combines the restrained, darker hues in the weft with a bold golden-yellow yarn in the warp, which is why the fringe is also golden-yellow. (The manufacturer calls the shade Mustard, we think golden yellow is a better description). In the surface, the colors slightly iridesce and show a matte, noble shimmer. Especially when combined with the green shade reminiscent of British Racing Green, we had less racing cars in mind than English country houses and royal drawing rooms (and some also the well-known chocolate mint plate, which is recommended to be degustated after eight o'clock). So if you want to add a little British flair to your living room, this blanket is sure to do the trick. The virgin wool blanket with the noble herringbone pattern is therefore rather predestined for armchairs and sofa, but of course also warms on cooler evenings on the balcony or terrace. Tweedmill weaves it from robust, New Zealand virgin wool.

Since 1971, the Tweedmill weaving mill in Wales, in the county of Flintshire, has been producing home textiles, outdoor blankets and accessories from wool.
