Denim pants are usually made from cotton, but this casual style is made from pure Lyocell (TENCEL™), a regenerated fiber obtained from wood that comes from certified and controlled sources. The Lyocell fabric feels soft against the skin and has a lovely soft drape. It is also particularly breathable, making the jeans very comfortable to wear even at higher temperatures. They have a mid-rise waistband, very wide legs, two side pockets and a blind back pocket and are fastened with a zipper and button. A pleat on each side ensures a good and comfortable fit.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
