If you only carry one bag with you, you often find that it is the wrong size when you are out and about. To overcome this problem, Ackermann from Lüneburg has developed this functional and versatile shoulder bag that grows with you and is therefore suitable for almost any situation. If you only need a handbag, it remains small, but is large enough to store keys, wallet, cell phone and similar items - on a carabiner and in the narrow, open pockets on the edge of the large, undivided inner compartment. If you need to take business documents with you spontaneously, this is also no problem - documents in A4 format fit inside. The bag is even suitable for extensive shopping, whereby it transforms into a kind of duffel bag with an astonishing capacity as time goes by and more items are placed inside. Even when completely full, the soft leather and wide, adjustable shoulder strap ensure a comfortable fit.

The outside of the bag is made of soft cowhide - the raw material for which comes from bulls in Germany, Switzerland and France. The inside is fully lined with light-colored pigskin. Both leathers are grain leather, i.e. only the top layer of the leather with the grain. The surfaces are deliberately not injected with color and are covered so that the natural characteristics of the skin are shown to their best advantage. The main compartment and the side compartment on the outside are each closed with a nickel-free galvanized metal zipper that runs across the entire width of the bag. The adjuster and the fittings on the shoulder strap are made of satin-finished zamak, a fine zinc alloy.

Since the 1980s, the leather manufacturer Ackermann has stood for handcrafted and resource-conserving production. Ackermann uses exclusively high-quality leathers tanned in German or European tanneries with minerals, vegetable substances or ingredients of animal origin (for example, fish oil for tanning deerskin). Beate Sedlacek and Karl-Henning Hohmann create the designs – the Bauhaus says hello – primarily based on an idea of functionality while reflecting on the characteristics of the respective leather and its surface. The resulting design is timeless, dispenses with superfluous details and features a clear cut in which every seam has its functional artisanal justification. Therefore, the leather can show all its strengths, including its visual and haptic qualities. Experienced sewists implement the designs in the best bag-making manner. Ackermann manufactures most of the articles at its headquarters in Lüneburg and has certain product lines made in a Czech partner company.
