The breathable knitted fabric of these socks consists mainly of skin-friendly, organically grown cotton. There is also a proportion of recycled polyamide and elastane for increased durability, elasticity and shape retention. The shaft and back of the socks are knitted in an irregular rib. The heel, soles and toes are knitted smoothly. The striped finish creates a lively, sporty look.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
