Women's tights warming

Women's tights warming
General Information
Semi-opaque tights. Smooth and warming
These tights give the legs an even, semi-opaque look and thanks to the well-thought-out choice of material, they are a good and comfortable companion for cool days. They are knitted from two-thirds viscose, a regenerated fiber made from wood and cellulose. The material gives the tights a particularly supple feel. Polyamide is added for durability, a proportion of cashmere for even more softness and added warmth, and a little elastane for greater freedom of movement and shape retention. The cashmere gusset and flat seams make them even more comfortable to wear. The tights are reinforced in the waistband and toe area and quadruple-twisted yarns are used, which makes them even more durable and comfortable to wear.
Recycling is the key. Swedish Stockings
Around eight billion pairs of tights come onto the market every year, most of which end up in the bin after being worn once. What's more, the majority of tights are made from newly produced petroleum fibers such as polyamide, which has an additional impact on the environment. Linn Frisinger and Nadja Forsberg did not want to put up with this waste of resources and careless treatment of nature. They founded the Swedish Stockings label in 2013 to counteract the throwaway mentality in the fashion industry: with long-lasting hosiery fashion made from recycled materials. This was a first, as the Stockholm-based company was the first hosiery fashion label in the world to use recycled raw materials in its production. Today, more than 80 percent of the Swedish Stockings collection is made from recycled materials. This is mainly polyamide, which is obtained from pre-consumer recyclates, i.e. industrial production waste. Natural materials such as wool, cashmere and cotton as well as cellulose fibers such as viscose are also processed. The tights are produced by selected partner companies in Italy.
Tights to tables. Tights become designer tables
Swedish Stockings has been pursuing a new recycling approach since 2020. Together with Swedish designer Gustaf Westman, they are giving old tights a new lease of life - as designer tables. Consumers from all over the EU can send in their worn-out tights. These are then combined with recycled fiberglass and transformed into modern table furniture with a sculptural character. The round, lightweight tables with a natural stone look are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Each one is made by hand in the central warehouse in Köping, Sweden, and contains between 80 and 350 pairs of tights, depending on the size, which would otherwise have ended up in landfill. For Swedish Stockings, the designer tables are a symbol of responsibility towards our world's limited resources.
