Since the beginnings of European culture, the oak has enjoyed the greatest reverence, whether as the incarnation of a god - such as Zeus or Donar/Thor -, as a rustling oracle of leaves for the priests of Dodona or as a symbol of eternity. Priests no longer (or only rarely) walk around in forests and homes today, and ultimately nothing can literally last "forever" - and yet this wreath, hand-felted from New Zealand wool, will greet your guests or enrich your room decorations with lush greenery for many seasons to come. Richly felted in detail with leaves, acorns and white berries, it makes a decorative solo appearance at the front door, in the window or on the wall above the sideboard - of course, you can decorate the wreath itself just as well and beautifully with additional elements. After all, wreaths are versatile and their use is probably as old as human heads and dwellings. While they were originally placed around a person's head or neck as a sign of reverence, admiration and greeting, the door wreaths of our modern homes, with their circular shape, herald the constant return of the seasons, which are revealed in the respective wreath decoration.

During her backpacking trip through Nepal, the Dane Gry Staunstrup was immediately captivated by the openness and warmth of the people - and by their craftsmanship. She was able to observe in detail how skillfully and skilfully Nepalese women felted wool into Objekten. The idea of using this skill and combining Nepalese craftsmanship with Danish design was quickly born. And the idea was immediately followed by action.

Since 2000, the company Gry & Sif has been producing a wide range of products from wool felt in Nepal. The designs supplied by Gry Staunstrup are in typical Danish design, as striking as they are discreet and at the same time carefree and cheerful; the production is carried out by Nepalese women using traditional craftsmanship. Now Fair Trade certified, Gry & Sif stands for fair wages, good working conditions and transparency. Only pure new wool from New Zealand sheep is used for the felt products - each of which is unique and handmade.
