20 Texon Plant Protection Discs

These discs go round the bottoms of trunks of freshly-planted trees and have a two-way effect: they protect the tender plant from encroaching grass and weeds, and improve the soil quality round the roots. Texon is a great help here – it’s a kind of cellulose impregnated with latex, also known as ‘leatherette’ in stationery. It’s long-lasting (about 2-3 years) but at the same time bio-degradable and eco-friendly. You may have seen these discs already in afforestation project areas: previously only obtainable by professional foresters, we are the first to put them on sale for private gardeners.
