Bath brush horse hair

General Information
Swedish Bath Brushes: Give Your Skin a Gentle Massage while Lathering.
In combination with a good soap, the soft but robust horsehair trimming produces a particularly soft lather for your bathing or showering routine. The staff members of Swedish manufacturer Iris Hantverk turn the brush bodies from regionally sourced timber making these bath brushes environmentally friendly plastic alternatives. As far as size is concerned, you have the choice between a small and a large version: Thanks to its compact dimensions, the small bath brush takes up very little space, for instance, in a travel bag. Plus, it comes with a hanging cord. The flared bristles of the large version reach a broad area when you are applying the lather. Thanks to the ergonomically shaped knob, the large bath brush sits especially well in hand. We recommend drying these bath brushes hanging or standing on their bristles so that the moisture can wick away from the wood.
Genuine Handicraft Makes a Tangible Difference. Brushes by Iris Hantverk.
Brush making has traditionally been a line of work for people with visual impairments. This is why the Swedish Association for the Blind founded a company for making and selling brushes at the beginning of the 20th century: Iris Hantverk. In this tradition, craftspersons with visual impairments in Sweden and Estonia assemble the brushes entirely by hand for Iris Hantverk to this day. The techniques are the same as back then: With the help of a small hook attached to their finger, they feed a stainless steel wire through holes in the wooden brush base and form it into loops. Then they gather the bristles into small bundles, insert them into the loops and fasten them with the wire. Finally, they cut the bristles to the right length using a cutting machine. From start to finish, they follow the haptics of tools and materials with great skill and their well-trained sense of touch. The work process is still visible in the finished product. When you look at the back of these brushes, the course of the wire is usually visual and gives tangible evidence of the Swedish craftiness.
